Description of Webinar

This webinar will discuss strategies and techniques to effectively engage tenants in providing meaningful feedback, in an effort to foster a more safe and collaborative environment that enhances the tenants’ experience, satisfaction, and community well-being. The training will specifically focus on the following strategies:

1) Planning and administering tenant surveys
2) Planning and facilitating tenant focus groups
3) Leading the creation of tenant-led advisory committees

 

Speakers

Jasmine Lewis & Guy-Jo Gordon & Susan Williams

Jasmine Lewis
Jasmine Lewis is a Senior Program Manager with CSH since 2021. She is a seasoned professional and an expert in non-profit, government, and property ownership sectors. Jasmine has several years of experience with housing, supportive services, and systems change in care delivery to people experiencing homelessness. She has honed her skills in training staff to deliver exceptional care and support to improve the quality of life for all vulnerable populations. As a professional and a landlord, she understands the vital role that supportive housing plays in transforming lives. As a lifelong advocate for affordable housing, she is very passionate about providing a safe and empowering community that uplifts the individuals she serves. At CSH, she provides system transformation technical assistance, analysis, and support to government partnerships working to coordinate with homeless and supportive housing providers. Jasmine has a BA from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University.

Guy-Jo Gordon
Guy-Jo Gordon, Senior Program Manager, Indiana, CSH: Guy-Jo Gordon is a community engagement and development professional skilled at developing relationships and brokering partnerships with diverse stakeholders to generate viable community-led and healing Centered Engagement solutions to community challenges. He is a passionate trainer with an emphasis on supporting direct service staff, peer support specialists, property managers, developers and service providers in learning best practices and increasing their impact in collaborating with their community. He strongly believes in the importance of learning from your experiences, peer sharing, and activating the voice of those with lived experience and expertise.

Guy-Jo is responsible for creating and implementing the CSH Speak Up! program in Indiana, shepherding CSH’s work on centering the voice of those with live experience, supports Team Indiana’s work which includes the IHCDA funded Permanent Supportive Housing Institute, providing Technical Assistance to Supportive Housing providers. Guy-Jo has co-created and delivered a HRSA Learning Collaborative for Health Centers, facilitated Peer Certificate Training sessions as well as facilitated trainings for CSH’s Indianapolis’ Housing to Recovery program, FEDTA Team focusing on Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) and Family Unification Program (FUP). Prior to joining CSH, Guy-Jo was a Capacity Building Manager with United Way of Central Indiana, a nonprofit fundraising organization, where he offered capacity building assistance to United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) partner agencies and the Greater Indianapolis nonprofit community. Guy-Jo is a father to a 3-year-old with an abundance of agency, earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Marywood University, is a native speaker in French, Spanish and English, and is a proud Madridista.

Susan Williams

Susan Williams is a strategist and project administrator with 16 years of nonprofit experience focused on equity for those impacted by homelessness. Believing in collaborative solutions, she partners with agencies to enhance programs and systems, ultimately aiming to move individuals toward independence. Susan’s expertise is backed by advanced degrees in health administration and business, as well as project management certification.
