Meet Sara Platek
MCAH would like to welcome Sara Platek!
Sara is a System Administrator II on MCAH’s HMIS Team.
Before coming to MCAH, she worked as an HMIS Specialist at The Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness (TCP) in Washington, DC. During her time at TCP, she led data quality control projects for Rapid Rehousing programs funded by COVID Emergency Solutions Grants, supported the maintenance and improvement of DC’s HMIS infrastructure, and assisted with communication and outreach efforts for TCP’s central surveys and research projects, including the Point-in-Time Count and Youth Count.
Prior to beginning her career in homelessness services and data management, Sara attended Duke University. She graduated with a BA in Public Policy and completed the Child Policy Research Certificate with a focus on the intersection between developmental psychology and equitable education initiatives for historically marginalized communities.
She is passionate about the powerful role that high quality data and research can play in developing effective policies and programs and driving positive change in community outcomes.
