Meet Lyn Raymond
MCAH would like to welcome Lyn Raymond!
Lyn is a System Administrator on MCAH’s HMIS Team.
Before joining the MCAH team, Lyn was the HMIS System Administrator and the Director of the Continuum of Care for Ottawa County Michigan. Lyn was responsible for providing technical support and training to end users of the HMIS system and facilitating discussions with agency leaders about performance measures, data trends and gaps in services. She was responsible for annual data submissions to HUD and MSHDA.
As the Continuum of Care director, she was tasked, alongside CoC member agencies, with ensuring the homeless services system provided a variety of housing opportunities and services for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk.
Prior to her collaborative work focused on ending homelessness, Lyn graduated from Hope College with degrees in Psychology and Spanish. She taught Spanish for three years until beginning service in community development around the US and abroad. She worked with refugees on the Texas border, with a human rights organization in Washington, DC, and with women artisans in Guatemala and Mexico.
On her return to Michigan, Lyn started what has become a years-long commitment to assisting people in housing crisis which began with direct service in homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention and transitional housing case management.
Lyn currently serves as the President of the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan Lakeshore Advisory Board and was elected to the Holland City Council in November 2019.
