In this interactive training, participants will gain comprehensive knowledge about human trafficking. We will break down the legal definition of human trafficking, share examples of sex and labor trafficking, and discuss how trafficking can co-occur with other forms of trauma and violence. Common myths and misconceptions about trafficking will be addressed and reframed. Participants will explore survivors’ unique housing needs and barriers and learn strategies to promote safety, stability, and empowerment. Finally, participants will understand how to improve their policies and procedures at their own organization and collaborate with other service systems to serve survivors in their community better.
