Training Description:
Suicide is a leading cause of preventable death—and knowing how to respond can save a life. QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is an evidence-based suicide prevention training designed to teach participants how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond effectively.

In this 90-minute session, participants will learn practical tools to support someone in emotional distress, including how to ask the right questions, offer hope, and connect them to life-saving resources.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize warning signs and risk factors of suicide
  • Use the QPR method to support someone in crisis: Question, Persuade, and Refer
  • Understand local and national referral resources for immediate support

This training is suitable for service providers, community members, peer advocates, and anyone who wants to be prepared to help prevent suicide.

All participants will receive a QPR Gatekeeper Certification upon completion of the training.

TRAINING WILL NOT BE RECORDED
