Leave a Legacy of Hope

It's National Make-A-Will Month

Make A Difference With Your Will

Join us this August for Make-A-Will month and discover how your will can be a powerful tool in the fight against homelessness in Michigan. Together, we can create lasting change.

The Power of Your Will

Creating a will is more than just a legal formality; it’s a meaningful way to ensure your values live on. By including a legacy gift to MCAH, you can support our mission to empower communities and end homelessness. Your will can provide essential resources to those in need, helping to create a brighter future for countless individuals and families across Michigan.
Making a will is a vital step in securing your legacy. At MCAH, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to contribute to a cause they care about. By planning your estate, you can make a significant impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness, ensuring that your support continues to make a difference for years to come.

Myths & Facts About Wills

Myth: Wills only matter if I have a lot of money to pass on.
Fact: Wills matter for everyone.  You probably have personal items, pets or messages that you want your heirs to deal with upon your passing.  A will is the best way to clearly share your intentions.

Myth: My family knows what I want.  They will make sure my wishes are fulfilled.
Fact: Legally, your family members don’t get to make these decisions after your death.  If you don’t have a written will, these decisions will usually be made by a probate court – costing your estate money and stretching out the process of settling your estate.

Myth: Writing a will takes a lot of time, money and planning.
Fact: There are services available that will help you create your will in less than half an hour, for free.
