What We’re Looking For 

The Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness is seeking a talented Director of Growth & Development who is mission-motivated and impact-oriented. We seek an experienced fundraiser and grant writer with excellent communication and project management skills. A successful Director will value close collaboration with colleagues but will also be self-motivated and able to work independently. In this role, you’ll design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating a broad network of philanthropic and strategic partner support. MCAH is seeking a seasoned leader who can think strategically, plan clearly, and build the processes and structure to maximize our team’s performance. 

What You Will Do

As Director of Growth & Development, you will oversee all aspects of the development department and increase the organization’s revenue through cultivating, soliciting, and retaining donors, funders and members. You will be responsible, in conjunction with other MCAH staff, for building relationships with individuals, organizations, foundations and other stakeholders and for furthering MCAH’s priorities as outlined in the organization’s strategic plan which includes a focus on expanding diversity, growing racial equity, inclusion and promoting housing justice.

MCAH anticipates the first year in this role will result in: increased success with grants, sponsorships and memberships, as well as a continued diversification of funding sources. Metrics will be mutually developed, and tracked and reported throughout the year.
