Meet Eric Krogsrud
What is your job title and a description of the work you do?
I am the Assistant Program Director. I assist in the management of AmeriCorps programs, placing and managing service members in host-sites across Michigan. Our members get things done by filling in the service gaps often found in nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and community organizations.
How does your work help homeless people, or help more people become housed?
Our members directly serve homeless people, and those at risk of homelessness. We provide direct outreach to make contact, distribute informational and tangible resources, assist with job searches & resumés, apply for housing and much more. When a community organization finds itself with too little time to assist with more direct, hands-on services to their clients, we step up to fill in the gaps.
Is there one project or achievement with MCAH that you are particularly proud?
I have only been with MCAH for 3 months, so my experiences with MCAH are somewhat limited. I expect that I will have many achievements to be prideful of in the near future.
Is there anything else you want to say or would want people to know?
