End the Cycle at the University of Michigan.

Our mission is to end the cycle of historic educational inequity in Michigan through educational services and advocacy. We have been in touch with your organization in the past, so I wanted to reach out to give you a few updates about our services.

We will be continuing our virtual tutoring program for students this semester. Parents can sign up for their student on our website: (endthecycleatum.org). After filling out the interest form and consent form, we will send the parents a link through which the students can sign up for a tutor’s slot based on their availability. Feel free to send out the attached flyer to parents as a reminder of this free service!

End the Cycle also has a Refugee and Immigrant Conversational English program. This program features weekly meetings of 1 to 1.5 hours where participants meet in breakout groups on Zoom with University of Michigan volunteers and other students in the program. Participants can sign up on our website: (endthecycleatum.org).

We have more exciting news! We will be starting a program in collaboration with another student organization at the University of Michigan: the Michigan Refugee Assistance Program. We will be providing English and American culture lessons for Afghan Refugees who have resettled in Ann Arbor. This project is still in the planning phase, but more information will be available in the coming weeks on our website (endthecycleatum.org).
